OpenAI's ChatGPT will "see, hear, talk" with a major update

OpenAI's ChatGPT has received a major update that will allow the viral chatbot to have voice conversations with users and use interactive graphics. It's closer to artificial intelligence (AI), like Apple's Siri.

OpenAI said in a blog post on Monday that voice capabilities "open the door to many creative and practical applications."

AI Services like Siri, Google Voice Assistant, and Amazon.com's Alexa are integrated with the devices they run on and are often used to set alarms and notifications and send text data across the internet.

Since its launch last year, ChatGPT has been validated by companies to perform tasks ranging from data collection to computer coding, leading major tech companies to compete to develop their products based on generative AI.

ChatGPT's new voice could explain circadian sleep OpenAI says Spotify is using the technology behind the platform to allow podcasters to translate their content into different languages.

With photo support, users can take photos of things around them and ask the chatbot "ask why the grill won't start, check the contents of the refrigerator to prepare food, or analyze images for difficult tasks."

The new ChatGPT feature will be available to customers on Plus and Enterprise plans within the next two weeks.
